23-years of experience with unleaded AVGAS
03 October 2004
Hjelmco Oil introduced unleaded AVGAS in 1981.
In 1991 the second generation of unleaded AVGAS was introduced, the Hjelmco AVGAS 91/96 UL.
This powerpoint presentation from 2004 gives the story behind the almost quarter of a century of experience operating Textron Lycoming and Teledyne Continental
engines on unleaded AVGAS, privately, commercially and in the Royal Swedish Airforce.
Hjelmco unleaded AVGAS 91/96 UL has been reviewed after 8 years of use by the Swedish Civil Aviation Authority and given a "green sign" to be safe.
Some future directions of Hjelmco Oil research into synthetic fuels are given.
If data from the presentation are quoted - please state Hjelmco Oil as source.
